Based on the findings of our supply chain research, improvements for transportation routes are needed by the local business community. The LCIC is advocating for infrastructure improvements which will facilitate more efficient flow of commercial goods in and out of the region.
A challenge for many communities is the presence of vacant buildings falling into disrepair. The LCIC is working with municipalities to request Provincial support for building remediation.
